Secured Credit Card High Limit, Reloadable Mastercard Visa
A
secured card is very simply a credit card you apply for that is
secured by your deposit in an interest earning savings
account. Unlike a debit card which is linked to a
checking account and does not report to the credit
bureaus, your secured card is seen as a credit card and
is secure so that only you and the bank know that it is secured by your
funds in the bank. Perhaps the biggest advantage a secure credit card
holds, though, is that no more can be spent than is currently deposited in your
credit card bank account. College students who are either
not ready or un-able to qualify for an unsecured line of
credit may also benefit from a secured credit card.
